ACHA was proud to see Nick Sabel, CEO of Common Equity and ACHA member, contribute to a packed forum at Nimbin Town Hall hosted by the Aquarius Foundation and the local community.
Nick shared insights on Australia’s rental co-operative housing models and the value of community housing approaches in de-risking co-operatives – a timely message in the context of rising housing pressures, climate vulnerability, and the growing call for sustainable, community-driven housing options.
The day brought together original land-sharing pioneers, next-gen community builders, housing academics, and activists to explore:
